CASA ZAMA
Casa Zama (Mayan for the Dawn of New Beginnings) is the embodiment
of contemporary design steeped in strong Mexican traditions. The space is integrated
into the oceanside environment, and has vibrant traditional Mexican colors, clean
lines, grand spaces, the soothing sounds of water, and sunbathed rooms with endless
ocean views. Perched a high point of Punta Sur, Casa Zama has unobstructed views
the crystal clear water of the Caribbean, spectacular ocean breezes and heavenly
sunrises.
Each step into Casa Zama allows you to discover new and interesting features. Upon
entry pass over across “floating” stone steps over a glistening pool of cascading
water to the large picturesque iron door Framed by two grand walls of Tikul. Casa
Zama utilized indiginous Yucatecan tile and stone on almost every floor and countertop.
Casa Zama features floors and custom cabinetry constructed of the local hardwood
Salam. Casa Zama has oversized suspended wood staircase into an enchanting courtyard
with bamboo plants and a peaceful flowing river rock fountain. The lower level opens
up to a 40 foot glass window system that opens up to a pristine pool and jacuzzi
and an incredible view of the carribean.
